An AI pilot works in a sandbox but can't reach the systems where the work happens.
Nearshore forward deployed engineering · AI & automationAI that makes it past the pilot.
Our forward deployed engineers embed with your team, remotely in your business hours or on-site when it matters, to connect AI and automation to your real systems, data and workflows. We stay until it works in day-to-day operations.

The gap we close
The demo worked.
Production is another story.
Most AI and automation projects don't fail on the model. They stall where the product meets your legacy systems, your data and the way your people actually work.
Messy data and legacy systems
The pilot ran on clean samples. Your real data lives in five tools, a spreadsheet and someone's inbox.
Nobody owns the last mile
Vendors ship features, internal teams are at capacity, and the integration work falls between them.
Tools people don't adopt
If the workflow feels foreign, the team goes back to what they know, and the investment sits unused.
A forward deployed engineer (FDE) is the role Palantir pioneered and today's leading AI companies use to close this gap: an engineer who works inside the customer's environment until the solution runs in production. We bring that model to companies that need it without building the team in-house.
What we build
Technology with a
concrete job to do.
We choose the solution by the problem it solves and the people who will use it, not by the hype cycle.
AI implementation
Agents, assistants and document processing connected to your systems, with human review where accuracy matters.
Workflow automation
Flows that remove double entry, route approvals and keep data in sync across the tools you already use.
Systems integration & data
APIs, connectors and pipelines that turn scattered records into one reliable source your team can trust.
Internal tools people use
We're also a design studio: interfaces are prototyped with real users before we write production code.
Typical situations
Where an FDE
makes the difference.
Examples of the kind of work we take on. Client names are kept confidential; we're happy to walk you through comparable projects on a call.
Someone reads, classifies and re-types documents every day.
Requests arrive by email and chat, and nobody knows their status.
The same report is assembled by hand from several systems every week.
How we work
From first call
to in production.
Every stage ends with something concrete you can review before moving on.

Engagement models
Embedded the way
your team works.
Colombia is on UTC−5 all year: the same clock as US Central in summer and US Eastern in winter. Your standups are our standups.
Embedded remote
Engineers join your channels, rituals and tools, working your business hours.
- Real-time overlap with North America
- Your repos, your tickets, your stack
- Weekly demos and written updates
On-site sprints
We travel to your offices for the weeks where being in the room matters.
- Discovery and process shadowing
- Launch and change management
- Critical integration windows
Scoped deployment
One outcome, clearly defined: a workflow automated or an AI use case in production.
- Fixed scope and acceptance criteria
- Prototype before production
- Handover and documentation
Why Aviv Art
Engineering with
a designer's eye.
We're a Colombian design, architecture and software studio. That mix shapes how we deploy technology.
Production over pilots
We measure success by what runs in your operation, not by the demo.
Designed for adoption
Interfaces and workflows are tested with the people who will use them.
Your hours, your tools
Nearshore overlap, and on-site when the project calls for it.
AI where it pays off
Sometimes a simple automation is enough. We say so.
Before we start
Questions
What is a forward deployed engineer?
An engineer who works inside the customer's environment, with its systems, data and people, to take a product or AI solution from prototype to production. The role was popularized by Palantir and is now common at AI companies.
How is this different from staff augmentation?
Staff augmentation adds hands to your backlog. An FDE engagement is tied to an outcome: we discover the process, scope a first deliverable and stay until it works in production.
Do you work in our time zone?
Yes. Colombia is on UTC−5 all year, so our working day overlaps fully with US Eastern and Central business hours.
Can you work on-site?
Yes. We travel for discovery, launch or critical integration weeks. Travel is scoped and agreed in the proposal.
Who owns the code and the data?
Ownership, access and confidentiality are defined in the contract before we touch your systems. We work inside your environment and follow your security policies.
Do you always use AI?
No. Sometimes a simple automation or internal tool is the better answer. We use AI where it adds real value, considering your data, costs, accuracy and where a person should review.
How much does it cost?
It depends on scope, duration and the engagement model. After a discovery call you receive a proposal with deliverables, timeline and cost before you commit.
